How do I calculate heat loss from a plate heat exchanger?
Enter the width, height and depth of the box the exchanger occupies, and its surface temperature. Set the operating hours and the energy price in the settings above the table.
What is left out of the insulated figure?
The nozzles and the tie-bar ends are left open, so they are not counted as insulated.
Can I total several exchangers?
Yes. Each exchanger is its own row with its own dimensions and temperature, and the table totals them.
Why is there no payback figure?
Payback appears once you enter your own installed cost. No cost rate is published here.
