How much heat does condensate heat exchanger lose on a condensate line?
Modelled here: 1 × 1.6400 m² at 110 °C lose 2.2 kW bare, and 108 W with 50 mm of removable insulation. That is 95.1 per cent less.
Where does the area come from?
Area of the closed box: four sides plus both end plates. The default is an assumption rather than a measurement, a pack 400 mm wide, 1000 mm high and 300 mm deep. Put a tape on your own frame and it recomputes.
Is it safe to touch once insulated?
The module settles at 27.3 °C on these defaults, under our 45 °C touch-safe target. We set that target against the burn thresholds in EN ISO 13732-1.
