33 industrial facilities in Argentina, across 7 sectors, mapped and ranked from open data by type, capacity and CO₂ emissions.
Facility counts by sector, Climate TRACE v6 (asset-level capacity & CO₂e, CC BY 4.0).
Across the 33 Argentina industrial facilities with an estimated CO₂ figure (Climate TRACE), total emissions are about 21.1 Mt CO₂e/yr. The single largest emitter, Ternium Siderar San Nicolás steel plant (iron-and-steel), accounts for about 19% of that. The biggest sectoral share comes from oil-and-gas-refining. Among facilities with a known operator, the top three — Ternium Argentina SA, Loma Negra Compania Industrial Argentina SA, YPF SA — account for roughly 45%. Most of these facilities sit in a temperate Köppen climate zone.
