Emissões = produção × intensidade típica do setor (cimento 0,70, aço BF-BOF 1,90, EAF 0,40, alumínio 1,60 direto, amoníaco 2,00 t CO2/t; energia a gás 0,37, carvão 0,95 t/MWh — intervalos de referência IEA/CE). Custo = emissões × preço × quota a pagar. Dentro do EU ETS a quota a pagar segue a eliminação oficial da atribuição gratuita; para exportadores sem preço interno, segue o phase-in do CBAM. As suas emissões verificadas (MRV) dão o valor exato.
