Gas turbine

A gas turbine burns fuel (usually natural gas) in compressed air to spin a turbine and generator. It is the prime mover in both open-cycle and combined-cycle plants; leading models include the GE 9HA, Siemens SGT5-4000F and Mitsubishi M501J.
