Across the 44 United Kingdom industrial facilities with an estimated CO₂ figure (Climate TRACE), total emissions are about 25.9 Mt CO₂e/yr. The single largest emitter, Tata Steel Port Talbot steel plant (iron-and-steel), accounts for about 11% of that. The biggest sectoral share comes from oil-and-gas-refining. Among facilities with a known operator, the top three — Exxon Mobil Corp, Tata Steel UK Ltd, Phillips 66 — account for roughly 33%. Most of these facilities sit in a temperate Köppen climate zone.
