The state of Vietnam's industrial emissions
Across the 90 Vietnam industrial facilities with an estimated CO₂ figure (Climate TRACE), total emissions are about 82.2 Mt CO₂e/yr. The single largest emitter, Formosa Ha Tinh Steel plant (iron-and-steel), accounts for about 11% of that. The biggest sectoral share comes from cement. Among facilities with a known operator, the top three — Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corp, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel JSC, Song Lam Cement JSC — account for roughly 23%. Most of these facilities sit in a temperate Köppen climate zone.
