The state of Greece's industrial emissions

Across the 17 Greece industrial facilities with an estimated CO₂ figure (Climate TRACE), total emissions are about 11.2 Mt CO₂e/yr. The single largest emitter, Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refinery (oil-and-gas-refining), accounts for about 22% of that. The biggest sectoral share comes from oil-and-gas-refining. Among facilities with a known operator, the top three — Hellenic Petroleum, Heracles General Cement Co, Motor Oil — account for roughly 74%. Most of these facilities sit in a temperate Köppen climate zone.
