19 industrial facilities in Chile, across 5 sectors, mapped and ranked from open data by type, capacity and CO₂ emissions.
Facility counts by sector, Climate TRACE v6 (asset-level capacity & CO₂e, CC BY 4.0).
Across the 19 Chile industrial facilities with an estimated CO₂ figure (Climate TRACE), total emissions are about 7.9 Mt CO₂e/yr. The single largest emitter, ENAP Bio-Bio Refinery (oil-and-gas-refining), accounts for about 16% of that. The biggest sectoral share comes from pulp-and-paper. Among facilities with a known operator, the top three — Empresa Nacional del Petróleo, Celulosa Arauco y Constitución SA, Compania Siderurgica Huachipato SA — account for roughly 73%. Most of these facilities sit in a temperate Köppen climate zone.
