Facility counts by sector, Climate TRACE v6 (asset-level capacity & CO₂e, CC BY 4.0).
Across the 6 Zambia industrial facilities with an estimated CO₂ figure (Climate TRACE), total emissions are about 2.9 Mt CO₂e/yr. The single largest emitter, CNBM Kafue Cement Plant (cement), accounts for about 50% of that. The biggest sectoral share comes from cement. Among facilities with a known operator, the top three — China National Building Materials Co Ltd, Dangote Cement PLC, Chilanga Cement PLC — account for roughly 78%. Most of these facilities sit in a temperate Köppen climate zone.
