Persian Gulf Star Refinery is a refinery in Iran with a reported capacity of 400,000 BBL per day. It processes crude oil into fuels and petrochemical feedstocks through distillation, cracking and reforming. It is operated by Oil Industry Retirement Fund Investment Co. By capacity it ranks #1 of 10 oil refineries tracked in Iran. It emits about 2,595,318 tonnes of CO₂e per year (Climate TRACE) — roughly the tailpipe emissions of 604,969 cars.
