190 industrial facilities in Russian Federation, across 7 sectors, mapped and ranked from open data by type, capacity and CO₂ emissions.
Facility counts by sector, Climate TRACE v6 (asset-level capacity & CO₂e, CC BY 4.0).
Across the 186 Russian Federation industrial facilities with an estimated CO₂ figure (Climate TRACE), total emissions are about 237 Mt CO₂e/yr. The single largest emitter, NLMK Lipetsk steel plant (iron-and-steel), accounts for about 9% of that. The biggest sectoral share comes from iron-and-steel. Among facilities with a known operator, the top three — Rosneft PJSC, Novolipetsk Steel PJSC, Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PJSC — account for roughly 26%. Most of these facilities sit in a continental Köppen climate zone.
