The state of Hungary's industrial emissions

Across the 16 Hungary industrial facilities with an estimated CO₂ figure (Climate TRACE), total emissions are about 7.4 Mt CO₂e/yr. The single largest emitter, MOL Szazhalombatta Refinery (oil-and-gas-refining), accounts for about 27% of that. The biggest sectoral share comes from cement. Among facilities with a known operator, the top three — MOL Group, Duna Drava Cement Kft, Hejocsabai Cement es Meszmu Rt — account for roughly 56%. Most of these facilities sit in a temperate Köppen climate zone.
