Per kWh kost EU-industriële elektriciteit 2–4× gas — directe weerstandsverwarming loont zelden. De economie keert met WARMTEPOMPEN: bij COP 3–4 op laagtemperatuurtoepassingen concurreert de effectieve €/MWh-warmte met gas terwijl Scope 1 naar nul gaat. Daarom leiden warmtepompen, niet weerstand, de industriële elektrificatie onder ~150 °C.
